One of the highlights of our visit to Zion National Park was the Observation Point trail. This strenuous route leads you one of the best views of Zion.
From the point you can see the whole southern view of the canyon valley with the famous Angel’s Landing below you. If Angel’s Landing is a bit too risky for you then this trail is a great alternative, but beware, there are still some sections that have precipitous drops!

This route starts from the weeping rock trail head. After the first set of switchbacks you traverse through a small slot canyon section before the trail opens up. From here on it’s all uphill but on a well graded path. Greater care should be taken towards final section as the path runs a long a very steep cliff face!
Distance: 5.96 miles / 9.6 km | Height gain: 2132 ft / 650 m | Height loss: 2132 ft / 650m.
