103 days to go…
“Travel. As much as you can. As far as you can. As long as you can. Life’s not meant to be lived in one place”.
Having been working hard and power saving over the past 18 months, we are once again dusting off the backpacks and making preparations to hit the road! Our next big adventure is a 27 week South American Overland Expedition, commencing in November 2013.
This epic journey – 187 days, 9 countries and 36,000 kilometres – will see us experiencing everything from volcanoes to glaciers, jungle to high altitude grass lands, wildlife and wild carnivals, fascinating cultures and all the adventure activities we could ever want!
We will be travelling in a custom built overland truck with a group of 22 people, experiencing the sights, sounds and cultures of Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, Peru, Venezuala, Colombia, Bolivia and Ecuador.
Without a doubt this expedition will be a trip of a lifetime, providing us with ample opportunity for our greatest passions – hiking and photography!
All packed and ready to go at the start of our first trip in August 2010.
Our South American Route, starting in Buenos Aires.
Tour Overview
Our first RTW Trip has only made us more passionate about travel and more determined to visit every corner of the globe. South America will be a whole new continent for us, and one that we are very eager to experience.
Starting and finishing in Buenos Aires, this journey will see us travelling in a massive figure of 8 over 6 months giving us the opportunity to really see it all. As we found out from our first RTW Trip, slow travel is definitely the best.
From the lost cities of the Incas, the steaming jungle of the mighty Amazon, the high mountains of the Andes, Caribbean beaches, and both scenery and wildlife which will be truly unique to this part of the world – we will be in photographer’s paradise!
Add to this the amazing friendly locals, interesting cultures, plenty of adventure activities and exotic food – will we ever want to come home?
