Street art or glorified vandalism?
The walls of Buenos Aires are adorned with graffiti. From colourful murals to moody figures, political emblems and simple tags, each barrio is filled with urban artwork that portrays slices of Argentina’s history and the passions of its people.
As we explored the city we found numerous examples of fantastic street art on a large scale. Here, we take you on a tour of the graffiti we found decorating the walls and buildings in the Sam Telmo and La Boca districts.
So love it or hate it – the graffiti of Buenos Aires has become an integral feature of the city, providing us with another insight into Argentina’s popular culture.

Pretty amazing way to brighten up the day poorer areas of town. There are even a couple that look like you two…how the hell they knew what you look like is a mystery but they look so realistic. Mitch
